After spending almost an hour in Subway I noticed different things. The workers would have a good 10 minutes or so then out of no where there would be tons of people coming in to order. The people who were eating alone would sit on the long table to overlook the others who were hanging with their friends. The people that sat with their friends at tables for 2 or more would spend more time then the ones sitting alone. I think this is because when people are surrounded by others they enjoy time flies. Rather than if your sitting alone times feels as if it's moving so slow. The people who sat alone or came in alone would either leave right after they got their food or eat and then leave right after. The friends usually stood longer even if they were finished their food. They'd just would hang around and talk. As I was observing I seen more males sit alone then females. I couldn't really tell why. I think this suggest that college life is what you make it. Maybe those people sitting alone wanted to be alone and maybe the people sitting with others liked being around people to pass time.
